Art

Students must bring a #2 pencil to art class each day.  A 1 subject notebook is required as the Art Journal. Portfolios will be made during the semester and will be taken home at the end of the semester.

Students will learn to get creative with a variety of art projects and assignments. Students will learn about the Elements of Art and Principles of Design. All students will take a semester exam using information written in their Art Journal.  All students will know the information at the end of the semester to feel confident by test time. Students are not expected to be great artists, yet must put forth as much effort as possible to be successful.

We always appreciate donations of colored pencils and markers. We never have enough markers or sharpies. 

Students are graded on the requirements given at the beginning of each project. Students have the opportunity to turn in Art Money for extra points at anytime during the semester. Art Money can be earned for extra help in the art room, being the Jingo winner or being the VIP Art student of the week.
