Bio

Mrs. Fermin is a native of Perry. She graduated from Houston County High School in 2007. In 2012 she graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor of Science in History Education and holds a Masters of Education in Instructional Technology, also from Kennesaw State University. She has certifications in Secondary History, Middle Grades Science and Social Studies, Instructional Technology and World Geography, and is gifted endorsed. She is married, has a daughter and miniature dachshund named Duncan. For eight years, Mrs. Fermin instructed different color guards in Houston, Liberty and Cherokee Counties. She has "retired" as an instructor but still loves to judge color guard at band competitions across the state of Georgia, and serving as a choreographer for groups. Mrs. Fermin has been at Perry Middle since 2016, and was the 8th grade game cheer squad coach from 2017-2021. Mrs. Fermin has been teaching middle school since 2013. She has taught in Liberty and Houston Counties. During her career she has taught advanced-level science classes, has received experience in behavior and classroom management by serving on a PBIS committee, and has participated in an ADVANC-ED school accreditation process committee. She also served as an RTI facilitator at her previous school location. Mrs. Fermin is a member of the PBIS team here at Perry Middle. She loves being a Perry Panther!
