Dr. Heath Burch is a graduate of Dodge County High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Georgia Southern University, a Master of Education from Georgia College & State University, an Educational Specialist degree from Georgia Southwestern State University, and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Liberty University.

Dr. Burch began his educational career at Houston County High School, where he taught special education and physical education. In 2012, he became an assistant principal at Warner Robins High School. After five years at WRHS, Dr. Burch was selected to serve as principal of Perry Middle School in 2017.

He is married to Stephanie Burch, an athletic trainer at Perry High School. Together they are the proud parents of three sons: Brody, Bryson, and Brooks.

Dr. Burch believes that the success of Perry Middle School is built on strong partnerships between the school, families, and the community. He is committed to serving the Perry community by creating a school culture where every student is challenged, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential. Guided by the school's mission to Motivate, Educate, and Promote Lifelong Learning, he strives to ensure that every decision is centered on what is best for students. He is deeply grateful for the unwavering support of Perry families and the community, whose encouragement, involvement, and commitment help make Perry Middle School a place where students and staff thrive together. Working alongside these partners, Dr. Burch remains dedicated to fulfilling the school's vision of becoming a school where excellence is the standard, not the goal.
