Bio

I am Jeff Pinckley and this is my sixth year at Perry Middle School where I have been a student teacher, substitute teacher and now one of the 8th Grade Georgia History teachers (my second year as a teacher). I feel blessed to be part of the wonderful Perry Middle team and try to be a positive influence and spread a smile every opportunity I can.

I chose teaching as a second career after serving in the United States Air Force (USAF) for over 25 years where I held numerous jobs that included Education and Training Manager, First Sergeant, Quality Assurance and Product Improvement Manager, Instructor, and Munitions Technician. While in the USAF I completed two Associate Degrees through the Community College of the Air Force as well as completing the Non-commissioned Officer (NCO) and Senior NCO Academies.

After retiring from the USAF, I attended started Middle Georgia State University in pursuit of a degree in Middle Grades education but soon transferred to Mercer University where I received my Bachelor's of Science teaching degree in Middle Grades Education.

I am married to Dr. Tonya Pinckley, who is also an educator here in Houston County at Bonaire Elementary. We have four children, Richard, James, Rebecca, and William as well as one grandson, Julian.
