I am Latasha Clay and I began my teaching career in Houston County in 2009.  This will be my 15th year in Houston and my 1st year at Perry Middle.  In all, this will be my 25th year teaching Mathematics and my 3rd year teaching science.  I received my Master's Degree in Middle Grades Mathematics and Science in 2002 from Fort Valley State University.  I am a proud product of the Houston County School System, graduating from Perry HIgh School in 1992.

Teaching has been my calling.  I realized this during my undergraduate studies as a biology major while spending time tutoring other students in the area of mathematics and science.  

As an educator, my goal has always been to make sure I educate the whole student.  My students academic needs are meet as I care for them mentally and socially as well.  I believe all students can learn with the help of changing their mindset to believe they are capable.
