With 28 years of dedicated experience in mathematics education, I have taught students from diverse backgrounds across a variety of instructional settings. Since 2014, I have served as a mathematics teacher at Perry Middle School, where I continue to support student success. My teaching career began as an adult literacy instructor at Middle Georgia Technical Institute. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Albany State University, a Master of Science degree in Mathematics Education from Fort Valley State University, and a Specialist degree in Mathematics Education from Georgia Southwestern State University. My public school teaching journey began at Sumter County Middle School in Americus, Georgia. During my eight-year tenure, I was honored as Teacher of the Year by students in my first year and by colleagues for the 2006–2007 academic year. I later taught at Warner Robins Middle School (GA) from 2007–2009, McCool Elementary/Middle School under DoDEA in Santa Rita, Guam from 2009–2012, and Broadmoor Middle School in Shreveport, LA from 2012–2014. Over the years, I have taught a range of subjects including 7th and 8th Grade Math, Algebra I, and Math Connections for grades 6–8. Additionally, I served as an adjunct professor of Algebra at the University of Maryland University College Asia, located at Andersen AFB in Guam. Throughout my career, I have remained deeply committed to advancing mathematics education, striving to foster academic excellence in every classroom I serve.
